Yvonne Shek

Yvonne has nine years of experience in information architecture, web usability, user research, and user experience consulting. She has developed IA solutions for Fortune 500 companies in Canada and the U.S. Some of her clients include: Bell Canada, Rogers Communications, Hydro One, General Motors (Canada, U.S., and worldwide), General Mills, Astra-Zeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, RBC, BMO Nesbitt Burns, McMaster University, Purolator, the CBC, Compassion Canada, and others.

She has given talks on information architecture since 1997, including Humber School of Media Studies, University of Toronto, Centennial College, and George Brown College. Yvonne regularly conducts workshops on information architecture and business innovation for her clients. Prior to working in the private sector, Yvonne was a human factors research scientist at Defence Research and Development Canada in Toronto.

Yvonne earned her undergraduate degree in cognitive psychology at the University of Toronto, and her Masters in Ergonomics from University College London in the U.K.
