Indi Young

Indi Young is an application designer who began her work in 1987 with Unix and pen-based products, then migrated to Web applications in 1995. Indi is a Founding partner of Adaptive Path but currently consults independently while writing her book on mental models http://www.rosenfeldmedia.com/books/alignment/.

Indi specializes in gathering user research data to create mental models for use in business gap analysis and application design. Since 1993, she has done more than 38 of these projects, starting with a customer call-center project for Visa.

Indi graduated with a BS in Computer Science from the Cal Poly School of Engineering in San Luis Obispo, 1987. She worked on her master's degree in Computer Science at Colorado State University Fort Collins. She is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Bay Area special interest group in user interface (BayCHI).
