Speaker Bio

Olly Wright

Olly Wright is Head of Experience Architecture at Media Catalyst Amsterdam, where he is responsible for a wide range of web and mobile projects, including sonyericsson.com. He has been making web sites for about ten years. Previously, he obtained a degree in philosophy in London, where he was told Darwin has nothing to do with ethics. He disagrees.
Olly tends to think too much. Recently he has been thinking too much about user centred agile methods, ethical design, mainstreaming the mobile internet, and how to reconcile choice with simplicity. He is passionate about the design of coffee pots, shower fittings and web sites, whilst bureaucracy, gantt-charts and winter leave him cold. Having survived several near-death experiences involving insects, aeroplanes and developing nations, he no longer fears meetings. This has proven useful.

It serves us well to remember than very unlikely things happen more frequently than we expect. For example, you may owe Olly money without realising it, or have stolen an idea he has not yet had. Do not dismiss these possibilities out of hand, they may catch up with you and upset your accountant at a later date.
